Red oak log quarters for free

A large Red Oak near me was felled, around 24inch dia, cut while live, it was to expand a local cemetery.  I found it fresh, and I since broke it down into quarters to haul home, as well as sealed with wax emulsion log sealer.  All incredible straight, vertical grain, would be amazing for chair making.  Most are around 2-3 feet long.  If you need shorter sections, I can cut it down further for you.

I'm not much of a green woodworker, so I couldn't go through all of this in a life time.  I'm keeping some for friends, but the other 1000 lbs of the stuff needs to go.

I'm not super active here, so if you are interested, and have any questions, please use the contact information on the members map (William Watkins in Ashland) I can also provide pictures if asked.

Hi William - I'd be interested in the log.  I dabble in greenwood chairs, so this would come in handy!

What's the weekend of 5/30,31 look like for you?

I too have been securing green logs, these are white oak. If anyone needs to transport large logs, let me know?
