Power Tool Repair

I have a Super Max drum sander and one of the clasps on the end of the drum that grips one of the ends of the strip of sandpaper just broke. As a result, I can not place a strip of sandpaper on the drum.

    I have two questions:

    1) Does anyone know of either a store in the area that sells replacement parts for power tools such as a Super Max drum sander or a website on line that sells replacement parts? I have not been able to locate either of them.

2)Does anyone know of a repair store/shop in the area that might be able to repair the drum sander?

Thank you for any suggestions you may have.

If memory serves Laguna bought the supermax out 5 or 10 years back.  You might be able to get the parts  from them.  Back when I was at woodcraft several years ago they did not have great customer service, that may have changed.

    try partsselect.com

boshco, is a used machine dealer they might point you in the right direction for parts.

as for someone who willl come and fix the machine, most of the repair places tend to only deal with commercial and industrial machines. Assuming they do work on Supermax it also would cost a pretty penny for the work.

    good luck.
