    Hi

Has anyone attended classes at the Homestead Woodworking School in Newmarket NH? If so, what did you think of the school? They have some interesting classes listed on their website. woodschoolnh.com

    Thanks

The first woodworking class I ever attended was a five day session with Homestead founder Alan Mitchell who guided me (a total newbie 20 years ago) from tweaking my original design sketch to buying the lumber (at Highland Hardwoods) to producing a completed two drawer sideboard. At the time, his mother rented out rooms in her house as a B&B next to the shop and that's where I stayed (that option ended may years ago).

Alan was an extremely patient and caring teacher. I know he ran the NH Guild's "Beginner and Intermediate " sub-group for many years. If he's your instructor, I highly recommend him.

I have attended several courses at Homestead in the past, but nothing since the virus.  They were great.  But I was looking at their website recently and saw no upcoming courses.  Have you found any?

    Thanks Ken

Yes Alan Mitchell is still giving courses. I was up at highland hardwoods and I picked up their flyer. It's about an hour drive for me, so it's not to bad of a commute.

On their website, there's a link to current courses. They are full for the month of July, but August to the end of the year are still open.
