New England Chapter, SAPFM, has scheduled a skill presentation event on Saturday, April 18th, in Sanbornville, New Hampshire at the shop of Dan Faia - 3 High Street, Suite C, Sanbornville, NH 03872.
This chapter event will include demonstrations pertaining to the construction and application of the “golden proportion” and the layout of a carved knee shell on a cabriole leg, presented by Wes Sunderland.
Dan Faia will continue with design layouts of furniture carvings and demos. Included will be several typical bench fixtures and their holding applications.
Dan’s shop is oriented for woodworking class instructions held throughout the year. The shop is well equipped with benches and related equipment. To view his class schedule go to: www.danielfaia.com.

DIRECTIONS: Travel eastward to approach the New Hampshire eastern state border. State route #16 begins at Portsmouth and follows the state line northward. Arrive on Rt. 16 either North or South and travel to route #109. At junction route 109 turn eastward at the traffic light and corner Mobil station. Travel about ½ mile on route 109 to the High Street intersection. There is a large brick building and a bright yellow building at the two corners. You have arrived at #3 High Street, the yellow building. Parking in rear and Dan’s shop is at rear end of building adjacent to the parking lot.
Arrival time is 9-to-10am, and event is 10am-to-1pm. Bring a folding chair. Maximum space for 20 individuals and minimum of 5 to attend. Please notify your intent to attend this meeting. A fee of $10 is requested. No “show & tell” displays are planned.
